On 31 December 2020, the transitional period foreseen in the agreement on the United Kingdom’s withdrawal from the European Union comes to an end. The Trade and Cooperation Agreement between the EU and the United Kingdom enters into force on that date, guaranteeing continuity of air connections in practically the same conditions as before. However, some issues regarding transportation may vary slightly, such as your rights as a passenger, for example. We suggest that you request information from your transport company or travel agent about the specific conditions that apply to you.

Travelling between the United Kingdom and Spain or vice versa also requires you to have a valid passport and although a visa is not necessary for short-term stays, your passport may be stamped. We suggest consulting the information published on the Spanish and British government websites on the requirements for entering and staying in each of the countries before embarking on the trip.
